The first is Mistborn which is totally amazing! I just finished the second called the Well of Ascension. (I think I mentioned these books at book club.) I loved the second book more than the first. I just started book #3, which is the last book in the series, entitled The Hero of Ages. If the past two are any indication, I will love it! These books are about as long as the Twilight series books and equally as compelling. ... Can I have a bite of that? It is about a thirty something year old woman with an obsession with the colin firth's Mr. Darcy. she inherits this trip to "austenland" where she dresses like and acts like and lives like the time period Jane Austen's books take place. there is some romance in it and i love romance so yeah it is really good. The first book in the series is The Eye of the World. There are 11 books currently written, plus one prequel. The 12th and final book is scheduled to come out in 2009. I can't really give a synopsis because the series is too long to compress down to a paragraph. I can only say that if you invest the time to read these books then you won't regret it. I haven't read much fantasy, so she thought it might be a light one to get started with. It was suprisingly good!! I really enjoyed it and was very happy with the ending. Besides the Twilight Series, this book is probably my favorite of all time. (It is a pretty close tie with Bram Stoker's Dracula) The Historian, by Elizabeth Kostova. After reading this you will want to read Bram Stoker's Dracula anyway. It is a little intense boring in the first couple chapters but READER BEWARE....it gets good!!!! ... Can I have a bite of that?
